These terms describe use of the Poppot website and app. For any request, contact hello@poppot.app.

The service

Poppot offers constellation recognition lessons, a sky map, a personal journal and private quizzes with friends. Orion, Taurus, Canis Major and the Explore map are free. Downloaded lessons can be used offline; sign-in, synchronization, downloads, purchases and live games require internet access. Camera and tracking features depend on your device and permissions.

Accounts and profiles

You can try Poppot without an account. An account allows online progress backup and recovery of purchased access. Keep your sign-in methods confidential and report unauthorized access.

Solo is for one learner; Family allows up to six profiles on one adult account, each with separate progress. A child does not need a personal email address. The adult manages the family account, purchases and approval of friendships for child profiles. The suggested learning age does not replace the rules applicable to children in your country.

Paid access

Solo and Family use a one-time payment, with no subscription. Family is a separate purchase, without an automatic credit for an earlier Solo purchase. The total price, included content, supported platforms and supply duration must be specified before purchase. An offer shown on the website does not mean it is already available in every store.

Web purchases use Stripe Managed Payments; mobile purchases use the relevant store, with validation through RevenueCat. Confirmed payment determines the access granted to the account. Guests can join a quiz free when the host has the required access; this does not unlock the guests’ paid course.

Mandatory consumer protection rules continue to apply. Where a withdrawal right applies, its period is generally fourteen days from conclusion of the contract. Simply opening the app does not waive that right; any exception for digital content or services must meet legal requirements and be explained before payment.

Applicable statutory guarantees for digital content and services remain in place. For a defect, restoration or refund, contact the seller on your receipt; hello@poppot.app can help identify the right contact. These terms do not exclude statutory rights to have the service brought into conformity, a price reduction or termination of the contract.

Use and intellectual property

Use Poppot without harassing other players, impersonating them, bypassing access controls or disrupting the service. Invitations are intended for people you want to play with.

Rights in Poppot’s software, text, exercises, illustrations and graphic elements remain with their respective owners. Your access allows personal use within the service without transferring intellectual property rights.

Unless permitted by the relevant owner in writing, a sharing or export feature provided by Poppot, an applicable license or a legal exception, you must not copy, adapt, distribute, resell or systematically extract protected elements of the service. Subject to the same limits, you must not decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the software to reconstruct its code.

These restrictions preserve statutory rights, including necessary backup copies, observation, study or testing of functionality and security during authorized use, and decompilation necessary for interoperability under the conditions set by law. Third-party components and content retain their own licenses; no exclusive rights are claimed over astronomical facts or public-domain material.

You retain your rights to your photos and notes. Importing them locally does not grant Poppot publication or commercial reuse rights.

Observation and availability

The map represents a calculated sky. Alignment depends on sensors, location and time; it does not account for weather or real obstacles. Check conditions around you and accompany children during observation. Never look at the Sun through an optical instrument without suitable protection.

Maintenance or incidents may interrupt service. Necessary fixes and updates do not remove your statutory guarantees. Learning results and perfect sensor accuracy are not guaranteed; this does not release Poppot from its legal obligations.

Deletion, suspension and changes

You can export data and delete your account in settings or contact support. Export local photos you want to keep separately. Deleting an account does not automatically trigger a refund. Data handling is explained in the privacy policy.

Access restrictions for abuse must be justified and proportionate. Except in a security emergency or where legally prohibited, the affected person must be able to learn the reason and contact support. Suspension does not remove statutory purchase remedies.

Material changes to these terms must be communicated; new agreement must be obtained where required. Changes cannot retroactively remove acquired rights. Agreement to analytics remains separate and optional.

Complaints

Send your request to hello@poppot.app. Consumer mediation arrangements will be specified together with the seller’s identity and role before commercial launch. Nothing in these terms limits your right to use a competent court or mandatory protections applicable in your country of residence.
